Wombat Forestcare Inc Annual General Meeting - 30.8.25 - 2pm

About
The Wombat Forestcare Committee warmly invites you to their AGM on Saturday 30 August at 2pm. We are delighted to welcome two guest speakers from the Bass Coast, Sue and Neil Woolley who will talk about Blue-Winged Parrots and their conservation efforts.Blue-winged Parrots are most common in Tasmania, Victoria, and south-east South Australia, however, populations are in decline even in these regions. It is thought that the clearing of forests may have benefited this species in regard to feeding, but not in regard to breeding as potential nest sites are removed. It is probable that Blue-Winged Parrots are breeding in Wombat State Forest. The Blue-Winged Parrot Working Group was started by the Birdlife Bass Coast Network Group of volunteers in 2022. This project is supported by volunteers, private donors, Birdlife Australia and the Wettenhall Environment Trust.
We will commence with the talk followed by afternoon tea, then a brief AGM at 3.45pm. All welcome!
