Would you like to take a flying leap to upgrade your public speaking and interpersonal communication skills? We can show you how and protect you from falling in two Saturday sessions a month apart.Speak for yourself will be held on Saturday 30 August and Saturday 27 September from 10 am to 4 pm at the Yeppoon Community Centre.
During the program, you will prepare and deliver 4 speeches and practice answering unexpected questions several times. You will also gain skills in giving constructive feedback to other speakers.
Participants choose what they wish to speak about. experienced Toastmasters will provide coaching and internationally acclaimed materials on:
- Controlling your fear
- Creating an introduction
- Impromptu speaking
- Organizing your speech
- Beginning your speech
- Matching your topic to your audience
- Using gestures and vocal variety
- Concluding your speech
- Giving effective feedback

Build and refine your communication and public speaking skills in two Saturday sessions.
Speak for Yourself will be held on Saturday 30 August and Saturday 27 September from 10 am to 4 pm at the Yeppoon Community Centre.
For just $390 you will be given coaching and receive feedback from experienced Toastmasters.
During the program, you will prepare and deliver four speeches and will have several opportunities to practice answering unexpected questions. There will also be a focus on developing your ability to give constructive feedback to others.
Participants can choose their own speech topics. Experienced Toastmasters will provide coaching and internationally acclaimed materials, focusing on the following areas:
- Controlling your fear
- Creating an introduction
- Impromptu speaking
- Organizing your speech
- Beginning your speech
- Matching your topic to your audience
You fee of $390 includes access to the Toastmasters International website for at least 6 months and the opportunity to rehearse and develop speeches at local Toastmasters club meetings. You may choose to renew your membership in March 2026 for a fee that is currently $100.
