As you know, Mr. Carroll never sought recognition for his extraordinary success as a sporting coach, nor did he ever ask for thanks for his 54 years of service to ACK. Yet, despite all that he gave, and all that he quietly sacrificed, no formal tribute has ever been made to honour his remarkable legacy.Now in his 90s, our window to acknowledge Mr. Carroll is narrowing. Rather than wait until he is no longer with us to speak glowingly of his achievements and contributions to so many lives, we are planning a tribute gathering at the MCG this November. The event will not be a fundraiser and it will not involve any commitment from you or others before or after the event. It’s simply an evening of old friends and former teammates gathering to express our collective appreciation.
