Medical Imaging Essentials (SOLD OUT)
The Medical Imaging Department (MID) invites all nurses from the wards to join us for a full-day interactive session tailored for nurses with little or no prior experience in Medical Imaging
This is a unique opportunity to build foundational knowledge, discover our dynamic clinical environment, and understand how MID works in collaboration with ward-based nursing.
Content Includes:
An overview of the Medical Imaging Department and its various modalities
Nursing roles and responsibilities specific to MID
Radiation safety practices
Overview of Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs) inserted in MID
Introduction to Percutaneous Procedures in DSA
Presentations by Medical Representatives on drains, ports, and PICCs
Hands-on experience: “Touch and Feel” station with key equipment
Come along to learn a new field of nursing, ask questions, make connections, and build confidence in caring for patients undergoing imaging procedures.
Cost: $25 ($20 refunded on attendance)
