This will be an exciting three days of learning - 4 workshops per day.
Day 1: introduction to TAB reading/refresher. Glam chords. Jazz chords and how we find that many glam chords are actually glam chords. Not as difficult as we think! Enjoying the arrangement of Billy Joel's 'It's Still Rock 'n' Roll To Me'.
Day 2: Moving around the ukulele fretboard. Extending this to jamming over chords in a jam session. How to write your own riffs. Blues riffs all over the fretboard. How to play chords and melody simultaneously. Learning a beautiful medieval tune 'The Grenadier and the Lady' as well as a relatively easy, yet lovely arrangement of 'La Vie En Rose'.
Day 3: More advanced ensemble playing including discussing different strumming patterns and how to work out your own strumming patterns. Campanella Ukulele techniques. Ensemble Campanella - playing Campanella duets with a chord part too - also discussing different plucking patterns to suit the tune arrangement. Finishing off the three days with an easy arrangement of Fleetwood Mac's 'Don't Stop'.
Bring both a high G and a low G ukulele.
These workshops are not for baritone or bass ukuleles.
