The South Coast Labour Council along the Maritime Union of Australia and our hosts the Huaxing Arts Group Australia are proud and pleased to invite you to a very special event to mark the "Victory in the Pacific" over Fascism and the end of World War II. The concert will be an epic event with a 60 piece symphony orchestra drawn from here and around the world and will be joined by a 300 person Choir conducted by Mr Carlos Alvarado. As a mark of respect to role of the labour movement in these and historic and momentous events, there will be a special mention and dedication to the heroes of the Dalfram (Pig Iron Bob) action in 1938 in Port Kembla, the first shots against the war against imperialism and fascism in the Pacific.Date
