ROLES
CALLIE (F) (stage age: late 20s to early 30s): Lead role. Traffic reporter. Unsure of what she wants from life, Callie often uses her intelligence and sarcasm as a veneer against commitment and intimacy.
SARA (F) (stage age: mid-20s to early 30s): Lead role. Sara has just moved from St. Louis, leaving behind stability and certainty to tough it out as an elementary school teacher in the Bronx. Develops close friendship with Callie as she navigates her new life. Warm and idealistic.
Please note: The actors for CALLIE and SARA share several kisses during the play.
GEORGE (M) (stage age: late 20s to early 30s): Bartender and Callie’s longtime friend with benefits, George is jealous of anyone she is involved with, including Sara. Rough demeanor, loud and headstrong.

ABOUT THE AUDITION
Auditions will be held in pairs and last twenty minutes. You will be sent a CALLIE and PETER monologue to perform on the day. While we do not expect you to have this memorised, we expect you to familiarise yourself with your chosen monologue.
Each person will also be sent duologue scenes to perform with either their audition partner or an audition panelist. During the audition, you may be given a new scene to read for other roles, even if you did not earlier indicate a preference for them. Please attempt a general American accent.
All audition materials will be sent to your email by the 21st of July. If you book an audition after this date, the materials will be sent to you as soon as possible.
If you do not attend your audition and do not give notice, this will affect prospects of being cast in future Guild productions. Please email us at tgss@clubs.youx.org.au if you need to cancel your booking. If you are unable to attend on this date but are interested in auditioning, please email us to organise an audition alternative.
