Become a pilgrim of hope in this Jubilee Year and join our 16km pilgrimage from the Church of St Therese in Balingup to the Holy Family Church in Kirup, WA. To launch World Mission Month in the Diocese of Bunbury and to celebrate the feast day of St Therese of Lisieux, patron saint of Missions, Catholic Mission and the Spirituality Hub Kirup invite you to join the second, annual Kirup Camino. Following in the tradition of pilgrim paths around the world, like the Camino de Santiago, participants will receive a ‘credencial’ (pilgrim passport/booklet) to be stamped along the way and a Jubilee Year pin. The Kirup Camino starts at 8.30am at the Church of St Therese, Balingup, with a blessing. After walking, it ends with the Jubilee Year Pilgrims’ Mass with Bishop George Kolodziej SDS at 4pm at the Holy Family Church, Capel St, Kirup. Tea, coffee and water will be available at Mullalyup (the mid-way point). BYO own lunch, snacks, water, raincoat. A prebooked shuttle bus departs Kirup at 8am.Date
