About CPS
Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS) is the evidence-based model Dr. Ross Greene describes in his influential books The Explosive Child, Lost at School, Lost & Found, and Raising Human Beings.
The CPS model has transformed thinking and practices in countless families, schools, inpatient psychiatric units, and residential and juvenile detention facilities throughout the world, and has been associated with dramatic reductions in adult-child conflict, concerning behaviours, disciplinary referrals, detentions, suspensions, restraints, and seclusions.
The model represents a significant departure from discipline-as-usual: it focuses on solving problems rather than on modifying behaviour, emphasises collaborative rather than unilateral solutions, encourages proactive rather than reactive intervention, de-emphasises diagnostic categories, and provides practical, research-based tools for assessment and intervention.
In these sessions, Dr. Greene will provide an overview of the CPS model, along with more advanced coverage of the nuances of assessment and engaging kids in solving the problems that affect their lives.

Advanced Course
Dive deeper into various facets of the CPS model. Includes extensive use of video examples and ample time for questions and discussion.
Completion of the Introductory Course is a pre-requisite.
'CPS Live: The Next Step'
Join us for CPS Live: The Next Step, a unique opportunity to watch Dr. Ross Greene work live with two children — one alongside a parent and the other with an educator — as he conducts live ASUP and Plan B discussions. Gain deeper insights into Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) in action, followed by rich discussion and a Q&A session to enhance your practice!
Completion of the Introductory & Advanced Courses is a pre-requisite.

Payment Options
For bookings made by credit card, a tax invoice will be issued by Trybooking with your confirmation email.

CPS CERTIFICATION
Completing the Introductory and Advanced CPS Training is a prerequisite to applying for the CPS Certification Training. Completion of the Certification Training is required for those who wish to provide the CPS model in their school, treatment, or clinical setting.
Terms and conditions
- Where an invoice is requested, registrations are considered confirmed on submission of the booking form and all event terms and conditions, including cancellation policy, will apply.
- The Combo ticket type must be selected during registration to be eligible for the discounted rate.
- Registrations are unable to be transferred between events (eg from virtual to in-person)
- A $50 change fee applies where changes to attendee names are requested. Changes will be applied on receipt of payment.
- For cancellations for any reason, including change of mind, the following terms apply
- Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@illumelearning.com.au.
- Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the event will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the event will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@illumelearning.com.au.
- Access to the content closes at midnight AEST 30th November 2025 - no extensions will be possible
- Refunds will not be offered in the event of non-attendance.
