Using Biopsychosocial Risk Profiling to Inform Claim Triage

About
Understanding and addressing the biopsychosocial risks that influence recovery is changing the way workers’ compensation claims are assessed and managed. By profiling claims according to psychological, social, and biological risk factors, compensation systems can make earlier, more targeted triage decisions that support better outcomes for injured workers. In this ISCRR Learning Series webinar, we are joined by Associate Professor Ross Iles (SuperFriend), Dr Faye Forbes (ISCRR), and Ally Palombi (EML), who will explore how biopsychosocial claim profiling is being applied to identify complexity early, prioritise resources, and inform decision-making.
Drawing on current research and system-level practice, the session will cover:
• The biopsychosocial risk factors most predictive of delayed recovery
• How EML's profiling tool is being used in practice
• ISCRR's evaluation of EML's claim profiling tool
