2025 Winter Surf Training Session Nippers August 2
About
We will be having our second ocean surf session on 2 Aug.The Ocean surf sessions will be focussed on building board skills and confidence in ocean waves. We will be continuing work on reading conditions, techniques for getting through the break, managing waves on the way back to shore. In addition to popping we will be practicing rolling (key method for getting through bigger surf).
We will take the board trailer down and club boards for these sessions. We will have different groups based on age and skill. We will keep the younger/less experienced athletes closer to shore.
We will select the beach based on most favourable training conditions 3 days prior to session. During the winter, the best training beaches will be surf coast (Anglesea or Torquay).
