Year 3B Physical Exam APEx Night
About
This is the form for those sitting the Physical Exam APEx this year and wanting to be a candidate to participate in this practice exam night.There will be 2 Year 3B's per room per one hour session.* You will each take a turn observing your partner do 2 exams, then get the chance to perform 2 exams on our sim patient(s).** In the event a sim patient is unavailable, you will be asked to perform 2 exams on each other then swap.
There will be a Year 4C/5D examiner in the room to provide feedback and correct exam technique, and an extra volunteer to act as the sim patient.
Equipment will be laid out for you to choose from similar to the actual APEx, where necessary.
*Each session is 1 hour long. There are 3 available sessions on the night
**We encourage you to preference a partner!
TIMING PER SESSION:
First 20 minutes - STUDENT 1 DOES 2 EXAMINATIONS
Followed by 10 mins - FEEDBACK
REPEAT with 2nd student
