Melbourne Tram Museum

About
Melbourne’s trams are the iconic symbols of our city. Since the 1880s the tramwayshave shaped how people have lived, worked and played. The Melbourne Tram
Museum celebrates trams, their history and their influence on the development of
Melbourne.
Visitors can explore the trams and exhibits at their own pace, or join guided tours,
where our volunteer guides provide additional insights into the museum’s exhibits
and tramway history. Allow up to an hour for your visit.
The Museum is open on the nominated days as listed on the booking page.
Tickets must be pre-booked. Note that visitor numbers are limited to ensure a
comfortable viewing experience and the opportunity to interact with our volunteer
guides.
Please respect our collection, our museum building and other visitors. To ensure
visitor safety, do not run, climb over or jump from the trams, or swing from handrails
and straps hangers.
