AUSTA ACT Events

AUSTA ACT is holding the 2025 String Concerto Competition on Sunday August 24th at St Mary MacKillop College.

Entrants are to choose a section that best represents their technical level, and play one movement of a concerto in the AMEB Syllabus.

Entries close on August 18th, early bird discount by August 8th.

There is a limit of 12 candidates in Section 1 and 10 candidates in Section 2 and 3. Candidates will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

There are three sections based on AMEB Grade:
1. AMEB Grade 2-4:  1pm-2.30pm
     Playing time 5 minutes
     Prizes 1st place $100; 2nd place $75
     Early Bird $50 Regular price $65

2. AMEB Grade 5-7:  3pm-5pm
     Playing time 10 minutes
     Prizes 1st place $150; 2nd place $100
     Early Bird $50 Regular price $65

3. AMEB Grade 8+: 5.30pm-7.30pm
     10 minutes
     Prizes 1st place $250; 2nd place $150
     Early Bird $60 Regular price $75
