LECTURE - JOHN PETER RUSSELL - THE AUSTRALIAN IMPRESSIONIST

Sydney-born impressionist John Russell spent 40 years in Europe, where he enjoyed friendships with artists the likes of Claude Monet, Auguste Rodin, Henri Matisse, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Vincent van Gogh. Russell had a love of colour and for nature. He spent much of his time on the beautiful and remote island Belle-Île (which have visited many times).
