Artistic Fencing

About
Learn the art of fencing for performance on stage and screen, with Lindsay Mitcham. Lindsay started his professional fencing journey in Paris, at "la salle d'armes du spectacle" under Masters François Rostain and Patrice Camboni. He has fenced on stage in a number of productions, playing Cyrano de Bergerac, working at the Opera du Châtelet, acting and producing choreography.
Where a duel is fought with a mortal enemy and a sporting match with an opponent, Artistic fencing is practiced with a partner, with the aim of being produced for an audience, although the motion comes from the same roots for all three.
Artistic fencing is practiced without protective equipment, and the first terms will be practices using Cannes to stand in as weapons, in keeping with best practice as outlined by the FFE guidelines.
