The Confident Paediatric OT

Build clarity, structure and confidence in your therapy process
Feeling unsure where to start in a session? Wondering how to lead the therapy process or plan beyond the next appointment?
This practical and interactive workshop is designed to help you feel more grounded, more capable, and more confident in your work as a paediatric occupational therapist.
Whether you're working in early intervention, school-age services, or mixed caseloads under NDIS, this workshop will give you the clinical structure and therapeutic clarity you’ve been looking for.
What We'll Cover
This full-day workshop will walk you through the key phases of therapy, from intake to exit, using simple, repeatable tools that help you take control of your practice. Together, we’ll explore how to:
-
Set up therapy with purpose and direction, right from the first session
-
Use therapeutic contracting to build alignment and clarity with families
-
Identify where you’re at in the therapy process and what needs to happen next
-
Plan meaningfully, even when the family situation feels complex
-
Use the Caregiver Capacity Model to guide your therapeutic relationship
-
Create goals that actually shape your sessions and make your reports easier
-
Build a framework that helps you pause, zoom out, and reflect with intention
You’ll leave with resources, frameworks and planning tools that you can take straight back to your own caseload.
Who It’s For
This session is ideal for:

Occupational Therapists who are new to paediatrics
