"Dignified Anger: Stories for a Perilous Now" is a storytelling-music-theatre show in which Jan and Penny cheekily debunk old, worn-out stories that have landed us in these perilous times - such as ‘survival of the fittest’ and that we humans should ‘subjugate nature’ to our will - and then share stories and songs of people who have resisted these dangerous, false beliefs in Australia, Latin America and beyond.
Written and performed by renowned Australian storyteller and Bushwackers Band founder, Jan ‘Yarn’ Wositzky together with theatre worker and musician Penny Glass - recently returned from twenty years creating theatre in a Chilean men’s prison - the result is a moving, comical and dramatic journey, a storytelling show for our times.
