Fuelling Everybody Every Day (FEED) -13-18yrs Term 3, 2025
Fuelling Everybody Every Day (FEED) is a food and nutrition education program based on a positive learning model and utilising positive food modelling and experiential learning. The program aims to improve the health outcomes of participating ACT young people who have limited food preferences which impacts their ability to consume a wide variety of foods especially vegetables. The goal of the program is to increase consumption of nutritious foods, especially vegetables.
The program involves participating in a total of eight (8) sessions with a duration of 90 mins. These sessions will be delivered weekly, during the school term. The program will be delivered at Chifley Health Hub, Maclaurin Cres, Chifley.
Who should attend?
Young people aged between 13 - 18 years who experience atypical eating behaviours. This includes:
- a lack of interest in food or eating.
- reluctant to try new food.
- selective about food due on consistency, appearance, taste, smell and /or temperature.
- limited food preferences and variability e.g. <20 foods
FEED provides fun hands-on food exposure experiences to help young people build a healthy relationship with food and increase dietary variability, with a focus on vegetables.
When
The FEED Program runs once per week over eight (8) consecutive weeks. Participants are encouraged to attend ALL eight (8) weeks.
