Sound In Motion Drumming, is a community of people who meet together on a weekly basis to communicate a deeper, older, primal language. Percussion, percussion is a tool that we use, but aren't Limited by, so we welcome all instruments to come play. 

The mission of SIMD is to create a safe place for people to experiance flow state. To develop skills and relationships with the  language of drums and how it fit into music as a whole.

As a result musicians grow into who they truely are. by practice, accountability and performance.

Everybody is a musician, it's a beautiful journey, finding what we're good at and enjoying it. Being gentle to ourselves enjoying music.

Starting the session with varying native teas, to ease the flow of music, then settle down to collaborate on various sound scapes to navigate the next two hours. It's a magical experience, to see time slow down as it does when we enter this state. 

After class we offer private sound recordings of the session, so musicians can develop their art, from week to week. This is simply a private group recording, this is a very useful tool for development, not shared to the public.
