This session will provide a brief overview of the Court's criminal listing process and an opportunity for an informal 'Q & A' with the profession. Feedback and suggestions about the system are also very welcome.

- CCML Overview and New Case Flow: Gain an understanding of how the Associate Judge will manage all criminal cases statewide through the newly established Criminal Case Management List (CCML).
- Committal and Trial Preparation Changes: Review new timelines and obligations following committal. Learn how indictments, readiness, and resolution are handled before transfer to a judge for trial or sentence.
- Special Procedures and Vulnerable Witnesses: Examine new procedures for child complainants, bail consent letters, and video-linked regional listings to ensure timely progression and appropriate judicial oversight.

Michael Daly AsJ was appointed as the Associate Judge of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in April 2024. Between 2007 and the date of his appointment as the Associate Judge, he served variously as a temporary magistrate, magistrate and Deputy Chief Magistrate from 2007. His Honour has a long interest in criminal case management.
