Sibling Support Activity (5-17) - Treetops Adventure
About
An event for teens aged 5-17years who have a sibling with a disability.Come along and soar through Victoria’s first tree ropes course, situated in the Dandenong Ranges. Move through the branches on an array of ziplines, tight ropes and tunnels! The estate, which is located on traditional Wurundjeri land, now spans eight hectares of forest alongside the Puffing Billy station in Belgrave. It features rare trees, including a magnificent 150-year-old Algerian Oak, used as the ‘Home Tree’.
IOE Siblings Support Program gives children and teens (5 y.o– 18 y.o), who have a brother or sister with a disability, the chance to do fun things and make connections with others who understand their situation – connections which develop often into firm friendships and provide ongoing peer support. (note these camps are not open to participants with a disability, this program is funded to support siblings only)
