With the AFL Finals not far away, we thought it would be timely to have an AFL flavour to our next dinner to underpin our discussion."Leaping" Leo Barry will be our special guest sharing stories of his AFL career and successful phase 2 transition to funds management.
Leo will always be remembered as the player who secured the 2005 AFL premiership for the Sydney Swans with "that mark". After a kick from Dean Cox was sent into the West Coast Eagles' forward line, Barry marked in a big pack within the dying seconds of the game to secure the Swans' long-awaited premiership after 72 years.
Retiring from professional football in 2009, Leo went through his own phase 2, moving into broking and then funds management, and is now a successful Portfolio Manager and Executive Director at Fairview Equity Partners.
Our last two dinners were fantastic with a lot of sharing of experiences and thoughts about our transitions and next phases. Don't miss this next dinner.
