Please carefully consider the following prior to submitting your entry form/s.
- You may submit multiple solo entries, providing that each entry is on a different instrument.
- A separate application form and application fee is required for each solo entry.
- The ensemble category is open to duets, trios, quartets and quintets. Only one application form and entry fee per ensemble entry is required.
- You may submit multiple ensemble entries, providing that each ensemble is not made up of the same students.
- All entries cost $10 and entry fees are non-refundable if the item is withdrawn.
- All performers must be current St Mark’s students, but there is no requirement for students to learn through the Instrumental Music Program at school to enter.
- Students must carefully consider their commitments and are encouraged to enter the eisteddfod only if they are ready to perform and can fully commit. Please do not enter a piece you have not yet learnt or only just started learning. Withdrawals cause inconvenience and disruption to the Music Department, impact our programming for the day, and should only happen under extenuating circumstances.
- A piano accompanist will be provided for you by the Music Department if you request it on your entry form. Rehearsals with the accompanist will be arranged during school time prior to the eisteddfod. Students will be allocated one rehearsal only for each entry they submit requiring accompaniment.
- Music is not required to be submitted unless you have elected to use the school accompanist. Please provide a clean, neat copy of your piano accompaniment music labelled with your name to Ms van Reyk in the Music Office by Friday 15 August.
- Backing tracks will be permitted if provided as an MP3 file with your entry. Students and their tutors are responsible for sourcing appropriate backing tracks, and are encouraged to approach a member of Music staff ahead of time if they need assistance here.
- Submit online entry forms and music by 10am on Wednesday 13 August. Late entries will not be accepted.
- The final eisteddfod program and session times will be published by Wednesday 20 August.
- Students and audience members will be expected to remain for the entire duration of their performance session, to support the other students and receive their adjudication report at the conclusion of the session.
- A booking link for audience tickets will be released once session times have been published. Tickets are free, but must be pre-booked.
- Students are encouraged to introduce their item before their performance.
