Would you like to create your own personal symbol using “Katazome”, a traditional Japanese stencil dyeing technique that dates back to the Edo period?
In Japan, there is a culture of “Kamon” (family crests), just as Europe has family emblems.
In this workshop, you'll design a unique 6cm circular mark inspired by this idea, carve your own stencil, and take it home with you.
Workshop Details:
Limited to 5 participants
Duration: approximately 1 hour
All tools and materials provided Please bring an apron if you're concerned about stains
After the workshop, enjoy light catering and friendly conversation with kimono designers Rumi and Tamao
Feel free to bring your own alcoholic drinks if you wish.
