At the heart of the evening is a series of feature panel presentations designed to spark ideas and showcase the real-world experiences of professionals from within the Seymour community. Students and families will hear from guests across a wide range of industries, all grouped into themed conversations that explore what drives people in their work. These sessions highlight diverse perspectives across fields such as:
Business • Finance • Law • Architecture • Social Work • Speech Pathology • Fashion • Engineering • Performing Arts • Interior Design • Medicine • Project Management • Dietetics • Nursing & Midwifery • Neuropsychology • Education • Medical Imaging • Occupational Therapy • Marketing & Communications • Tourism • Hospitality • Physiotherapy • Sport & Recreation • Construction Management and more.
Multiple presentations will run concurrently at the following timeslots:
- 3:45pm – 4:30pm
- 5:00pm – 5:45pm
- 6:15pm – 7:00pm
Each presentation will only occur once during the program.
Between panel presentations - or during timeslots that may not align with your interests - we invite you to:
- Visit open classrooms, hosted by Heads of Department, to explore Seymour’s subject offerings and ask questions. Some sessions also include university students and graduates in areas like Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Economics, Law & International Relations, Journalism & Professional Writing and more.
- Chat with representatives from Adelaide University, Flinders University, TAFE SA and Seymour at information stands throughout the evening. Current Year 12 students will be invited to schedule a personal meeting with an Adelaide Uni and/or Flinders Uni representative to clarify their course preferences, discuss majors etc.
- Enjoy food and drinks, including the Heysen 160 sausage sizzle fundraiser and offerings from the Parents’ and Friends’ Association.
We look forward to welcoming families to an evening that brings together insight, inspiration and practical support - all designed to help students make informed, confident choices about their future.
