Join us for a joyful evening to celebrate over 20 years of friendship between the people of the Indi Electorate including Ovens Valley, Indigo, Mansfield and Wangaratta, with communities in Timor Leste - Atauro, Venilale and Lacluta. This evening recognises with delight the genuine friendships nurtured through the shared values that have inspired communities in North East Victoria and Timor Leste to work together for positive outcomes in our world.Evocative and engaging music will be provided by Timor Leste band, Mystic Trio Band, so singing and dancing will be part of the fun.
A live link with Timor Leste will enable words from dignitaries such as Presidents of TL, Jose Ramas-Horta and colleagues from localities across Timor Leste to be viewed on-screen. A number of the Timor Leste diaspora in Australia as well as Australian leaders will attend.
