Circle of Security® Parenting™ program

The Circle of Security® Parenting™ is an 8 week program based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. It supports parents to respond to their child’s emotions, not just the behaviour the child is displaying; to identify what they are seeing in their child and how to respond to what they see, so their child has their emotional needs met and as they grow up they learn to identify what they are feeling and how to manage their feelings.
Parents learn to:
• Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs
• Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
• Enhance the development of their child’s self esteem
• Honour the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure
Facilitated by Pia Coates, SOEL’s Pedagogical Coordinator and a Registered Facilitator of Circle of Security® Parenting™ and Classroom™ program. Pia has been training SOEL’s educators in this since 2022.
