Daniel Schmitt Viola Masterclasses PLUS
AUSTA WA is pleased to present masterclasses for viola with Daniel Schmitt, who has been principal viola of WASO since 2019. His full biography is on the WASO website.
Solo performers of approximately AMEB Grade 5 and above are invited to play in the masterclasses. If places fill, please email organiser to go on waiting list. Each session includes a masterclass followed by all-levels viola ensemble reading.
Solo performer places include entrance for accompanist, another adult audience member and ensemble participation in one or both sessions. It is assumed that solo performers will join the ensemble reading session at the end of the session. Solo performers are responsible for organising their own accompanists. Works may be unaccompanied, or accompanied by piano, or by a second string player (duet). There are two timeslots available. For the 15m timeslot, choose a work approximately 5m or less in length. For the 20m timeslot, choose a work of 10m or less in length.
