Royal Schools Music Club Excellence Awards: ROSL & Hurford

The RSMC is once again presenting the “RSMC Excellence Awards” with a total of $6000 in prizes.The Royal Over-Seas League Award for Young Singers between the ages of 15 to 21, will be held before interval. Prizes are ($1,000, $600, $400) generously donated by the WA Branch of the Royal Over-Seas League. The adjudicator for this award is the newley appointed head of keyboard at WAAPA, Dr Tonya Lemoh
The Winifred Hurford Awards for a singer and an associate artist (pianist) between the ages of 20 and 25 are being presented for the again this year. The prizes of $2,000 each for one singer and one pianist have been generously donated by Peter Hurford in memory of his mother Winifrid Hurford, a past president of the RSMC. This prestigious award will be adjudicated by Dr Margaret Pride, OAM.
These performances are usually of a very high standard, so we hope you will join us to enjoy fine music and to support these deserving musicians.
