ECU Mount Lawley Campus 1970–1980 E-Book Launch (SOLD OUT)

Join us in celebrating the history of ECU Mount Lawley Campus from 1970 to 1980 with the launch of a special commemorative E-Book.
Reconnect with former colleagues and classmates as we honour the people and stories that shaped Mount Lawley Teachers’ College and its evolution into ECU. As the campus prepares to close in 2026 ahead of the move to the city, this is a moment to reflect on its lasting legacy.
The E-Book captures memories and milestones from 1970 to 1980, brought to life by contributions from dedicated former staff and alumni including Glen Phillips, Sybe Jongeling, John Renner, John Sherwood, Phil Pearson, Irene Froyland and Toby Metcalfe. The legacy continues through foundation students Rivka Niesten, Marjorie Bly, Terry Watt, and Neil Kidd – leaders in student life and education – who are documenting the student experience during this formative era.
The event will be held in Spectrum Gallery, where you’ll also experience Through the Lens - a photographic exhibition by Photomedia alumni and current students capturing the campus’s unique character, history, and meaning ahead of its move to the city. It provides a fitting visual tribute as we prepare to farewell the Mount Lawley campus.
We hope you can join us.
