Parramatta Interpretive Walking Tour

Interpretation Australia invites members to join Robyn Stocks for a guided walking tour to visit several archaeological sites with permanent public interpretive displays in Parramatta CBD.The 2 hour tour offers an opportunity to explore sites spanning multiple eras, from Aboriginal contact during colonial settlement to the modern day. Robyn will share how teams addressed the various challenges of storytelling whilst working within conservation, safety, and budget limitations.
Hear how individual lives and layered histories are honoured in public space & stay on after the tour for lunch & informal chat.
Meet: 5 Parramatta Square: exit train station at Parramatta Square pedestrian exit, meet at entry to new red-tiled PHIVE building
When: Friday 15 August | Time: 10:00am–12:00pm
Notes: Refreshments and comfort stops along the way; flat walking on pavement, few steps, adequate shelter at sites though come dressed for all weather. Lunch optional afterward.
