
Year 12 Parent Information Session - SATAC Applications
This information session enables parents of year 12 students to understand the SATAC application process that their son / daughter will be doing in Term 3. Andrew Weiss, Career Development Coordinator, will explain and take parents through the following things:
• What SATAC is and what they do
• How their child can find the right course for them using the SATAC Course Search
• What an ATAR, Selection rank and University Aggregate are
• What the scores will look like in their child’s mySATAC account
• A basic overview of the application process
• What admission pathways are
• How to do the SATAC application
• What preferences mean and how to list them
• What happens when you receive an offer
• Key deadlines, offer rounds and fees
• Other pathways to get into a university course
There will also be an opportunity at the end of the session to ask questions. Held in Room 203 in the Plaza.
