Learn the art of watercolour painting in this 8-week program that guides participants through foundational techniques in a supportive and friendly environment. All skill levels aged 16 years and over are welcome. Student grade materials are provided.

When:

Every Wednesday starting from the 30th of July, 1:00-3:00pm, for 8 weeks.

Where: PLEASE NOTE THE CLASS HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE ALAN BAKER ART GALLERY, AT 37 JOHN ST. CAMDEN

Cost: $186 per term

Facilitator: Jo Wong Hoyee is a local arts maker and educator who specialises in free-hand drawing, painting, illustration, photography and digital imaging.

Participants are asked to bring:

A paint shirt, smock or apron.
An A4 watercolour paper pad (s) or book with atleast 24 watercolour paper pages. We recommend students purchase 100% cotton papers that are designed for watercolour painting if they are able. If you are unsure about the right paper to purchase, we encourage students to hold off on purchasing their paper until after the first week, as the facilitator will explain the effect of different paper on the work you create.

Participants are welcome to bring their own watercolour paints if they wish, as some have chosen to do in previous classes. However, we will have student grade watercolour paints availabile for everyone in the class.
