The Annual Rocky Swap returns to Rockhampton Showgrounds this August!

The Rocky Swap will be bigger and better in 2027 for its 30th anniversary!

IMPORTANT SET UP INFORMATION FOR SWAPPERS

Each site includes one swapper entry ticket per site booked. 

Additional Swappers Entry Gate armbands can be purchased online or in the Swap Office on the two days before the swap: 

• Thursday 5th August, 3pm - 6pm, and 
• Friday 6th August, 8am - 1pm. 

The Swap Office is located in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion Foyer adjacent to Gate 2 on Exhibition Road opposite the Rockhampton High School.

ENTRY GATES:

Gate 2 (Exhibition Rd, opposite High School)

Gate 8 (Lion Creek Road) 

EXIT GATE:

Gate 9 (New Exhibition Road) 

Gate 9 is open from 10am Friday 6th August and closes 6am Saturday 7th August (remains open overnight) 

FRIDAY SET UP TIMES:

Gate 8: 10am - 6pm 

Gate 8 will be closed overnight until 4.30am Saturday.

Gate 2:  6pm - 8pm

Call 0459 768 279 for entry via Gate 2. Please allow up to 10 minutes for entry. 

SATURDAY SET UP TIMES:

Gate 8:  4.30am - 6.00am

Entry is via Gate 8 ONLY (Swappers entry gate) 

IMPORTANT:

All Gates must close at 6am Saturday to enable everyone to be ready to open to the public at 7am. 

This includes Swapper Entry (Gate 8) and Exit Gate (Gate 9). 

Pavilion sites do not include onsite parking. All vehicles must be offsite before the 6am gate closing time.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

In 2027, it is a condition of entry that all site holders and any of their helpers must be wearing their armband/s and all vehicles must have a windscreen sticker on their vehicle's windscreen. This is required prior to entry to the showgrounds at Swappers Entry Gate 8.

Additional armbands and tickets are not able to be purchased at the Swappers Entry Gate 8.

If you do not have all your armbands, windscreen sticker and all tickets, you will need to park your vehicle and visit the Rocky Swap office located in Robert Schwarten Pavilion Foyer. 

Anyone lining up without all of their tickets and sticker on their windscreen will be asked to leave the line and park their vehicle to arrange required tickets. 

Lining up at Swappers Entry Gates prior to the opening times as above is not permitted.

Cars found queueing earlier will be asked to leave the line and park elsewhere whilst waiting for the opening time. 

This is to avoid traffic congestion in area for neighbours including the school, other businesses and residents. 

IMPORTANT PAVILION SITE INFORMATION

Pavilion sites do not include onsite parking. All vehicles must be offsite before the 6am Saturday gate closing time.
When parking around the Pavilions to unload, please be mindful of the time you take to unload your vehicles.

Vehicles should be unloaded and moved offsite. Site holders can then return and commence setting up their site.

Vehicles are not to remain within showgrounds during set up as this creates access issues and means other site holders cannot park closer to their site.

No driving within pavilions during site set up. 

If you require vehicle access due to mobility, stock quantity or other reasons, please arrange to come to site Thursday 3pm - 6pm to unload your vehicle/s. 
You must arrange a spotter to be with you to be able to do this.

You must be wearing your armbands on your wrist, and windscreen label attached prior to entering the showgrounds. 
If you have not purchased enough tickets, please park elsewhere and go into Robert Schwarten Pavilion Foyer to arrange additional tickets. 
No queueing of vehicles in Swapper Entry line before 3pm, as campers will be entering earlier. 

Pavilions will be closed and locked at 6pm Thursday and reopen Friday 10am. 

Site holder pedestrian entry to showgrounds on Saturday morning. 
If you do not have onsite parking or your car is located outside the showgrounds, pedestrian entry via the Robert Schwarten Pavilion Foyer is open 4.30am - 6.00am Saturday.

Only site holders and helpers wearing armbands are able to enter via this door. 

IMPORTANT CAMPING INFORMATION

Camping on your site/s on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night:

Tickets must be purchased before queueing.

Cost: (maximum of 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children) - Additional people = extra camping ticket.

• Friday night only:$16.50
• Friday and Saturday nights: $33.00
• Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights:$55.00

There will be no entry to showgrounds before 2pm Thursday.

Thursday entry is at GATE 2 only - between 2pm and 5pm for pre-booked campers.

Campers entering after Thursday must enter through either swapper entry gates at times listed in the 'Swapper Entry Gates and Access Times' section - highlighted in blue above.

Additional armbands and tickets are not able to be purchased at the Swappers Entry gate 8 - only at Robert Schwarten Pavilion foyer Thurs and Fri or online.
