2025 CHESS VICTORIA JUNIOR RAPID CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
Schedule: Sunday 21st September, 2025
Time: 11am registration for 12:00pm start.
Playing Venue: Glen Waverley Secondary College School. O'Sullivan Road, Glen Waverley VIC 3150
Tournament: 7 Round Swiss
Rate of Play: 13 minutes plus 2 second increment from move 1.
Age Divisions:
The 2025 Victorian Junior Championships will determine holders of the following titles:
Age-Group: The Open and Girls only tournaments will be separate tournaments.
• For girls, they can elect to play in the Girls only or open tournament but not both.
• For boys and girls, they can elect to play in an older age-group.
Divisions available:
Open U8 U10 U12 U14 U16 U18
Girls U8 U10 U12 U14 U16 U18
Age Divisions:
• Under-18 : Year of birth 2007 or after
• Under-16: Year of birth 2009 or after
• Under-14 : Year of birth 2011 or after
• Under-12 : Year of birth 2013 or after
• Under-10: Year of birth 2015 or after
• Under-8 : Year of birth 2017 or after
Note: Some age groups may be required to be combined if there are insufficient numbers. Awarding of trophies will be according to the ACF by-law
Prize Giving: at about 4:30 pm. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Open and Girls based on Tie Breaker System
Entry Fee: $30 plus admin fee via TryBooking https://www.trybooking.com/DEHYK
Entry closes on Saturday 3 pm 20th September 2025 or when the maximum number is reached

• Public Parking – enter from Snedden Drive
• Enter via Sneddon Drive car park
• Players will be told which room they will be allocated to play their 1st round game
