Sapphire Coast Music Society proudly presents the return of Minh Le Hoang to the Bega Valley. Be completely mesmerised by a solo performance of classical guitar, by a master whose performance for us last year drew a full standing ovation.Minh began playing popular music at the age of nine, while living in Vietnam. When his family moved to Australia in 1991 Minh, then aged 13, had great interest in classical guitar and decided to take the instrument seriously. He graduated from the ANU School of Music with first class honours, receiving the highest mark ever achieved by a student in a solo recital.
Minh holds a Masters of Music, in 2007 won first prize in the 50th Tokyo International Guitar Competition, teaches at the ANU School of Music and is a member of Guitar Trek, Australia’s premier guitar quartet.
