The Yunong Community Garden was recently advertised for expressions of interest to undetake care and management on behalf of Lake Macquarie City Council and the Morisset and districts community. We are really excited to let you know that the proposed Morisset Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group Expression of Interest was successful. Leases will be signed shortly when the submissions period ends on 25th August. In the meantime, the successful tender means that we can go ahead and form what is currently known as the Morisset Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group under the Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance. We are calling all interested parties to join us on Sunday 10th August at 1 pm to attend our inaugural meeting, become a member, sign up as a volunteer and to put forward your input of what you would like to see happen with our very special community asset, the Yunong Community Garden.Location
