This in-person workshop, presented by Nicole Pates, is designed for occupational therapists and physiotherapists supporting children and adolescents with joint hypermobility, fatigue, pain, or complex multisystem presentations.Covering the latest diagnostic frameworks for generalised joint hypermobility (GJH), hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD), and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), the session provides practical strategies for assessment, clinical decision-making, and intervention planning.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in using tools such as the ULHAT and LLAS, learn how to scaffold therapy goals and approach treatment using a strengths-based, family-centred approach.
Ideal for clinicians, physiotherapists, OTs and EPs, wanting clarity and confidence in managing paediatric hypermobility in everyday practice.
