Bordeaux v Margaret River - Battle of the Terroir

“The progeny of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, is the world’s most famous red wine grape and most planted of any colour” – Jancis Robinson.
Discover how the king of red varieties performs in two of the world’s most celebrated Cabernet Sauvignon and blends regions – Bordeaux and Margaret River.
Join the Wine Education Centre’s Blair Hill and Old Bridge Cellars proprietor Jay Beeson for an educational and entertaining evening as they go head-to-head, pitching Cabernets from these iconic regions against each other across four different price brackets to see which will reign supreme.
Blair will introduce each region before the first bracket, setting the stage for a fascinating tasting journey.
Across the night, you’ll taste eight wines – two per bracket – with the final round showcasing bottles worth over $150 RRP. Between brackets, enjoy a grazing board of cheese and other delights designed to complement Cabernet’s tannin profile.
Expect world-class wines, including two Bordeaux from the prestigious 1855 Classified Growths – Château Dauzac and Château Ducru-Beaucaillou – alongside standout Margaret River examples in Howard Park and Domaine Naturaliste.
This is a rare opportunity to taste a line-up of highly rated, benchmark Cabernets in a true battle of terroir.
