The guest speaker is Shane Hicks, the Electric Vehicle Specialist at Callaghan Motors. There will be 2 vehicles (one full EV and the other a plug-in hybrid) available for people to have a close look at, a bit of a poke around and possibly test drive. Shane has a power point presentation and will speak to a range of issues such as different types of EV vehicles, recharging arrangements (current recharging arrangements at home and around the country), servicing availability, the potential for the EV battery to act as a home battery, etc.He will also update us about other electric vehicles such as utes, buses, trucks, as they are being adopted in other countries (e.g. New Zealand!). It sounds like being a very informative session.
