St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba Parenting Classes
Each month we run two-day classes that cover a number of topics. Parenting classes are run by a St Vincent's midwife. They can be attended by first-time parents or those needing a refresher or having a Caesarean for the first time.
Please note, if you have BUPA private health insurance the fee for these classes will be covered. Do not pay- please call Maternity instead.

Parenting classes cover the following topics:
- Vaginal birth (including assisted births & pain relief options)
- Caesarean births
- Induction of labour
- Characteristics of newborns
- Tests & routines in hospital
- Breastfeeding
- Safe sleeping/SIDS
- Parenting challenges
- Emotional wellbeing
- Sleep/settling
- Community support
Please only book one ticket- that includes your partner/husband/support person's attendance to the class.
