It Takes A Village: Raising Kids in a Digital World

About
.Join us for a conversation with the experts about digital wellbeing, youth mental health and the growing impacts of social media and smartphone use on children and teens.
Today's parents are navigating a parenting challenge that no other generation has encountered before. Today's children are navigating a childhood filled with an inescapable amount of technology, which no other generation has encountered before. This navigation requires conversation. It requires a collaborative effort between parents and caregivers, teachers, coaches and the broader community to educate themselves on the issues at hand, and then be able to use this knowledge to support our young people so they can thrive.
On December 10th 2025, the Australian government's social media minimum age bill will come into effect. This bill will restrict access to social media for all children under the age of 16. This pending reform presents a valuable opportunity to shine a spotlight on children's interaction with technology. As we move toward this new legislation, now is the time to come together, share insights, and empower ourselves with the best strategies to support our children in a digital world.
If you have a young person in your life, this event is for you.
Please note that the topics discussed during this event are not suitable for children under the age of 16.
