Additionally, participants are invited to attend a special social event and dinner on Saturday evening.

What to Expect:

Open to all styles and affiliations (limited tickets for non-MKAA members), this seminar is a unique opportunity to train with one of Okinawa’s most experienced masters. Minimum age 14.
Sessions will include:

• Principles of Okinawan karate

• Detailed kata instruction and refinement

• Close-range techniques, tuite (seizing), and bunkai (applications)

• Internal mechanics, posture, and movement efficiency

• Partner drills

The seminar will be delivered by Hanshi Toshimitsu Arakaki (10th Dan), and assisted by Kyoshi John Carlyle (7th Dan) and Sensei Reece Cummings (5th Dan).

The seminar is sponsored and supported by the Matsubayashi-ryu Karate Association of Australia (MKAA).

The Kodokan Cummings Karate Dojo is located a 5-minute walk from the Flemington Rd Light Rail Stop. Any accommodation along the light rail route will get you to the dojo within 20 minutes.
