Escape the Vape – A Parent’s Guide

This session is designed as a "Vaping 101" for parents, offering essential information about young people and vaping. The session, organised by the Central Goldfields Shire Council and hosted by Highview College, is open for all parents in the Shire.Topics will include the chemicals commonly found in vapes, the risks of addiction, and the mental and physical health impacts. Parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in open discussion.
The session will be led by Bronwyn Grieve, a community nurse from Castlemaine Health who is experienced in presenting to both parents and young people. Alongside vaping information, she will share and explore some parenting tips and tricks in this space. Take-home vaping prevention resources will be provided, and catering will be available for attendees.
