100th Anniversary Koonamore Reserve YISES Trip

Join the Young in Soil and Earth Science Society (YISES) for a field weekend celebrating 100 years of ecological research at Koonamore Reserve. Hosted by the SA Arid Lands Landscape Board, the event includes presentations, live music, and a sit-down dinner at Yunta Racecourse (Saturday), followed by hands-on workshops and guided tours at Koonamore (Sunday).YISES is coordinating group travel and camping for members, with support from SA Arid Lands. A bus will be provided, and camping facilities are available at Yunta (BYO swag/tent and bedding). All meals catered.
Activities include rangeland soil demos, geology walks, birdwatching, plant tours, cultural learning, and more.
