Gone Bush – Year 6 Production at Clovelly Public SchoolWhen a group of adventurous Year 6 students find themselves lost in the misty Blue Mountains, they must work together to make shelter and face a night under the stars. To stay calm and keep their spirits high, the quick-thinking School Captain suggests an age-old remedy for fear—storytelling.
By the glow of a campfire, the children bring to life the works of Australian literary greats Henry Lawson, Banjo Paterson, and Dorothea Mackellar, blending bush ballads, classic poems, and tall tales with their own daring imagination.
Full of humour, heart, and a true Aussie spirit, Gone Bush is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and the magic of stories passed down through generations.
