We are delighted to welcome guest speakers from PIMBY - Policy in my Backyard - from the Tasmanian Policy Exchange (TPE) at UTAS, to our AGM. The AGM will be conducted briskly to spend as much time as we can listening to and questioning PIMBY presenters on Climate Change in the Huon and Tasmania, plus the future of transport in the region.TPE is focused on the big issues shaping Tasmania's future. They work with government, industry, and community to produce rigorous, independent evidence and policy analysis. PIMBY is where they take a closer look at the policies that shape our lives – from elections to environment, healthcare to housing. The speakers on the 9th are Sarah Hyslop, Dr Lachlan Johnson, and Kimberly Brockman. They have undertaken extensive research across TPE’s four themes – transitions to a zero-emissions future, sustainable development for communities, democratic engagement and good governance, and life and wellbeing in Tasmania.
