Grief Workshop for Bereaved Parents and Siblings
A Day of Understanding, Connection & Hope for Bereaved Parents & Siblings
When a child or sibling dies, the world changes forever. Grief becomes part of who we are, yet the world often expects us to “move on.” This one-day workshop, hosted by The Compassionate Friends QLD, offers a safe, understanding space to explore the lifelong journey of loss — and the unique wisdom, love, and resilience that can grow alongside it.
What you can expect:
- Gentle exploration of the lifelong impact of loss and how it shapes our lives.
- Shared stories from others who truly understand the road you walk.
- Insights into Continuing Bonds — ways our love for the person who has died remains part of our lives.
- Understanding different grieving styles — in ourselves, our partners, our children and our wider family.
- Strategies for navigating “grief storms,” anniversaries, and other difficult times.
- Tools for self-care, compassion, and finding moments of comfort.
Who is this day for?
Bereaved parents and siblings of all ages and backgrounds — whether your loss was recent or many years ago.
Why join us?
- Be with people who truly understand.
- Gain new perspectives on grief, healing, and living alongside loss.
- Leave with practical tools, gentle encouragement, and renewed connection.
