FrogID: Harnessing Citizen Science for Frog Conservation

About
Frogs are among the most threatened animals on the planet, and monitoring their populations is essential to protecting them. The Australian Museum’s FrogID project invites Australians to become citizen scientists by recording frog calls with a free mobile app. Since its launch in 2017, the project has gathered over 1.3 million records, revolutionising our understanding of frog diversity and the impacts of threats such as bushfires, drought, and habitat loss.In the Eurobodalla region, thousands of recordings from local residents are shedding light on how our frogs are coping. Join Nadiah Roslan, FrogID Project Coordinator, to discover how this nationwide effort is driving real conservation outcomes, which local species you might hear in your backyard, and how you can play a part in their protection.
